More news for the SEquel that you should hear!

Wow! SE:AMS is actually getting a sequel after almost two years of The Digger's laziness?!! :P

Joking aside, I really do have some important news about the sequel to SE:AMS in regards to it's premise, so as Anko herself would say "Listen up, ya maggots!!"

Okay, so one of the main reasons that this SEquel has taken so damn long is because honestly... I'm not sure where I want to go with it. Ever since finishing SE:AMS, I've kept switching back and forth between a number of potential ideas to continue the story, and I will agree that it's really starting to get a little ridiculous now.

As much as I'm sure some of you out there (you know who you are! :P) would be happy with just seeing more smut with Anko Mitarashi and friends, that's just NOT the way to do a sequel, and so many sequels, be they in literature or film, have focused too much on such things as sex appeal or action that they've forgotten to focus on what really made the original source material successful, and that's one misstep I am not making.

But getting back on topic, I actually have conceived several possible ideas for the continuation of the SE series (which will hence forth be known as the SEries :P), but deciding on which plotline to follow is honestly one of the biggest reasons that the series has taken as long to show results as it has.

I've heard some people ask me if I'm going to be sticking to the same story arcs as the canon series, and there are a few particular story arcs, such as the Chuunin Exams and the Land of the Sea arcs, but other than those and a few others, I'd much rather not stick too closely to the main canon stories because that would just be boring!

Regardless of which canon arcs I keep or not, do keep in mind that I will find one way or another to introduce all the characters to come that everyone loves: from Tenten and Gaara, to Tsunade and (as if I ever could forget this guy) Jiraiya!

I didn't want to share this with the masses, but at this point, I feel like I have little choice in the matter. While I've come up with dozens of potential stories over the past couple of years, the items I'm about to list are some of the final potential story concepts for the plot of the next entry in the SEries:

1.) Advanced Sex Education

All things considered, most if not of you probably took this story as a given. For a while, I kept switching between an advanced sex ed class, teaching more in-depth sexual technique, etc to graduated Shinobi, and a class teaching erotic ninjutsu (aka, Erojutsu), but then I realized that the two could be merged together, and as Anko's classes continued, she would teach her students Erojutsu alongside her other teachings.

It's not so much that I've gone back on this idea, but like I said, there are a bunch of other possible SEquel ideas that I can't really overlook, and kind of put this Advanced Sex Ed class idea into question. However, I will see fit that the OCs contributed so far will be put to good use in one way or another, regardless of whether or not this story concept is used.

2.) Anko's Origins

So most of my readers so far have been demanding a continuation to the SE:AMS series, but what if I were to go in the opposite direction? And instead of a sequel series, the new series were to be a prequel, telling my version of the story of Anko Mitarashi?

Granted, no matter what direction the story goes, I do plan to look into Anko's past, but what if said past were the entire focus of the new series?

This prequel would start with a young Anko Mitarashi as she graduates the Ninja Academy, her adventures and life under the tutelage of Orochimaru, and her exploits in the years after she left Orochimaru, possibly even leading directly into the very beginning of SE:AMS. Basically, we'll get to delve in deep to know just how and why Anko is the woman that we know and love!

3.) The War Against Daimao's Den

This is another thing I have every interest in at least touching on no matter what the story, but again, if this particular storyline is followed, then it'll be the main focus.

In the later chapters of SE:AMS, we're introduced to Daimao's Den, a sinister, dangerous crime organization specializing in ever possible illegality imaginable, most prominently, slave trade. And after the organization resurfaced, Anko decides that it's the solemn duty of Squad 11 to put an end to the bastards once and for all!

While plenty of lemons and humor will be present, it's important to note that this series will get to be considerably darker as it progresses, as we not only learn more about Daimao's Den and who they are, but also learn more of the atrocities that they've inflicted upon others (And trust me, this shit gets SO dark and nasty, I'm even disgusted at some of these ideas actually came out of my head! :/).

4). Sex Education: Shippuden Style

This is an admittedly odd one that I've thought of, and one of my more recent concepts, but what if instead of tying directly into SE:AMS, we were to skip ahead about three or four years?

That's right! Shippuden era, baby!

Not only would we be jumping ahead a few years, but we would also have ourselves a few new main characters, though, of course, with our favorite heiress, knucklehead, and nymphomaniac as lead characters acting as this new cast's mentors.

In other words, Naruto and Hinata get to go from awkward, embarrassed sex ed students, to proud teachers of a new generation of awkward, embarrassed sex ed students! :P

As much as I'd like to cover all of these, I can only focus on one, so I'd like to hear all of your thoughts. Do you have any questions about any of these story concepts? Do you have a story idea that you'd be interested in sharing? Which of these story ideas would you most like to see come to life? Please leave your thoughts in the comments!

  1. Now remember, this is my personal opinion, so you can accept or disregard it when creating your story. One opinion out of many readers.

Well, I would pick the first one. Familiar territory, plenty of space to expand with sex, maybe teach readers a few things like in the last one ;), and less of a chance of falling into repeating canon.

The second one is good, but as you said, you could cover it in any of your stories as a backstory.

I would be fine with the third one if it wasn't so dark, so I do not want it as a main focus of a story. Again, it would work better in a story without being the main focus.

And the fourth one, I do not totally back, because I somewhat have a dislike towards time skips. You have to miss out on so many chances of character development during time skips.

I hope this helps somewhat in making your story.

  2. I like the first one. I really enjoyed the prototype you posted a while back.
Two I have a few issues with. Mainly the Orochimaru stuff.
I like the third one. It's really a question of, what kind of dark are we talking about? we've already spoken in length about this and my suggestions.
I like four simple for the more mature body types. You would be missing out on some stuff important to the canon. I mostly never cared about them being so young. Some scenes in the original I had to imagine them as more grown to stand it.
If you want my honest opinion. I say a mix between one and three.

    1. What kind of issues do you have with two? You're not thinking 'snake rape' with the whole Orochimaru stuff, are you? Because no, that won't be present; A) that's fucking gross! and B) realistically, Orochimaru has zero sex drive, and therefore consider stuff like Erojutsu a waste of time (Despite all the pedophile jokes, no, his interest in Sasuke is NOT sexual at all).

What kind of dark? Well... I'm not going to be every bit as much in depth about things like assault and rape as I've been with consensual sex, there are going to be no shortage of tear-jerking stories from Anko, Onnasuki, etc about their experiences with Daimao's Den, and... well, let's just say that if you were disturbed by the dark tones in ch13 and 14 of SE:AMS, you'd be wise to vote against #3, because this idea would make those chapters look harmless by comparison :P

Hey, I've already thrown the squad assignments out of whack with SE:AMS, not to mention introduced a character that wasn't supposed to show up until the second story arc in the literal first sentence of SE:AMS, so at this point, I have no regrets in throwing the canon out the fucking window! :P

  3. I like 2 the best but the rest could be awesome too,2 and 3 fit being story arcs in the first but personally Anko is my favorite character in this series so 2 wins hands down.My advice is write your favorite and try the rest if you still like the storyline.

  4. Well, personnally, I'd support n°1.

2 would take a long, LONG time, you'd have to cover a ginormous amount of time, and because of this the story would be more likely to become too much for you to keep writing.

3, well you said its dark. Ch13-14 of SE:AMS made me slightly uneasy, but a whole story like that? Or worse? Sorry man, but I don't see how you could keep the light tone in that. It's hard to laugh when the main focus of the story is an organization that rapes, kill, and destroy lives.

4, you'd miss too much time. What happened during the chunin exams? What of Gaara? that kinda things, it would leave too many questions unanswered and force you to make an extensive use of flashbacks, and as seen in the manga, those quickly get old.

    1. As far as 2 goes, yes, it's a long time frame, but I wouldn't exactly be following every day of Anko's life here.

For 3, it wouldn't be all darkness and tear-jerkers, but even that aside.... yeah, I've eliminated 3 from my list of final SEquel concepts. The fight with Daimao's Den is going to be something covered no matter what, so why kill the fun mood of the SEries just to get to the villains everyone hates?

And for 4: If this concept gets picked up, then the time skip is largely going to treat things like nothing of all that importance happened between SE:AMS and the SEquel. Remember, this story's already thrown canon out the window, so characters like Gaara can be introduced for the first time in this new time frame, and any sort of flashback material can be handled as kind of omake material.

  5. hmmm,perhaps a mix of 1,2 and 4?

  6. 1) I probably like this concept the most. It worked for your previous story and I'm sure that even if you write the sequel in the same style, your impressive imagination will not let it become dull or boring. Plus I'm very interested in the advanced SE that Anko is about to unleash on her young victims-err, I meant students, so that's the biggest appeal for me.

    2) I must admit that I like this one the least, for one simple reason - I don't like Anko. This is in no way tied to your writing style or even stories themselves, I just don't like her character. I didn't mind her in your story since she was mostly nice and since it also focused mainly on Naruto, Hinata and other characters, but I'm not sure that I would enjoy so much reading a whole new story based solely around her. Sorry. :(

    3) I support this concept a lot. I always like good adventure, fighting scenes and other interesting things in ninja's lives and, to be honest, after reading chapters 13 a 14, I wasn't feeling any particularly anxious or horrored. There is much worse stuff on FF than what you wrote, so I'm not afraid that you would write something undigestable (I mean no offense, of course, since I assume you didn't want to scare off your readers in those chapters). And I'm sure you would make it light-hearted enough for people to enjoy, with just some bits of Daimao Den's practices appearing to enforce the strict, evil ways they use on their victims.

    4) Hmm... I admit that time-skip would be nice, especially since many characters would possess much curvier and more shapely bodies, but it might be harder for you to properly introduce all the characters that everyone knows already before Naruto went on his training trip. Issues like Gaara's progressive madness, Sasuke's defection, Tsunade's return, Sarutobi's death, appearance of Akatsuki and Orochimaru - there's a lot of that to keep track of and might make your job a lot harder. But I support this one as well if you feel yourself up to the challenge.

All of my previous statements/comments were not made to sound insulting in any way. If they sound like that, please know that it wasn't my intention.

  7. I'd personally want you to do 4. I kinda wanna read about some of the students screwing Hinata silly.

  8. Why don't you do progessive?start with the advanced sex ed since its right after and work your way to the shippuden arc's that way everyone's happy and you cover everything :)

  9. If I'm reviving an old post, I apologize in advanced. I like the idea of 4, having Naruto & Hinata be voices of experience and trying to teach would be really nice, and even in canon, something about everyone being super powerful at age 12 kinda bugged me. If Cannon got pushed back and tweaked to still be about the same, with something like the training trip being with an older, wiser Naruto from 16-18 would work, at least for me.
This all said, maybe a mix w/ #1 would be possible. Kind of like a day and night shift maybe? It never seemed like Anko was at a loss for teaching material, so between 2 of them and Anko herself, teaching a younger generation, them going off on shenanigans while the older ones start learning more advanced stuff would be interesting.
I really like 4, I would enjoy 1, so there's my vote :P whatever you write though, I'll read, so just keep doing what you do!
